A test engineer is required to support an increased customer demand and growingorder book. This is a full-time role based in Glasgow for an experienced engineerwho can work to deliver our next range of nanosatellite projects. Responsible forconducting prototype and production test on electronic assemblies and spacecraftsystems. Developing space craft subsystem test methodology and test processes. Develop detailed test procedures to minimize risk and maximise repeatability, productivity and test efficiency.

RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

● Ensure delivery of fully tested flight components to Projects on time

● Communicate with Project Manager to ensure test schedules align withproject schedules

● Communicate to Test Supervisor and Project Manager progress and status ofhardware under test

● Participate in project reviews and Test Readiness Reviews

● Mentoring and training to junior members of staff

● Provide Test engineering support to design teams for evaluation andprototype component test

● Identify risks and opportunities for continuous improvement of the existing testprocesses

● Periodic support of Satellite integration testing

● Conduct ethical and equitable business practice

● Implement all relevant and appropriate company policies and procedures

● Ensure own adherence to the company Quality Management System and anyadditional quality processes mandated by the customer

● Maintain and organise the Test areas and tools/equipment

● Suggest improvements to team and management to improve DFT and Testprocesses

● Compile NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports)

● Any other reasonable request from management

SKILLS REQUIRED:

● Competent in electrical & electronic engineering principles

● Apply electrical test expertise to company product range, e.g. battery packs,electrical power systems, dc-dc converters

● Expert knowledge of test equipment

● Able to follow test and evaluation plans

● Expert in writing test and evaluation plans

● Verify spacecraft hardware meets customer requirements by following testspec and product datasheets

● Apply test debug methodology to resolve issues encountered during the testphase

● Support design engineer with test and debug of prototype and productionsystems

● Use schematic diagram & PCB layout to debug hardware

● Clear understanding of Satellite system production lifecycle

● Competent in data analysis and capable of using data to resolve issues andmake improvements

● Write concise test reports

● An Engineering qualification (degree-level preferred, not essential)

● Can demonstrate high level of communication, control and organising skills

● Can demonstrate a working understanding of QMS and H&SMS

● Knowledge of vibration and thermal testing desirable

● Strong problem-solving skills

● Able to interpret technical requirements and work effectively with crossfunctional engineering teams

● Degree in electronics preferable or currently studying for a degree inelectronics will also be considered

● Experience of working on international projects and in multiple locations

A Senior RF engineer is required to support an increased customer demand andgrowing order book. This is a full-time role based in Glasgow for an experiencedengineer who can work to deliver our next range of nanosatellite projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

● Responsible for all RF sub-systems on the satellite including primarycommunications in UHF/VHF/SBAND/XBAND, GNSS receiver chain andpayload development (e.g. AIS, IOT).

● RF circuit design including architecture, schematic/layout, simulation and test.

● Undertake design reviews and create design documentation, manuals, testprocedures, and reports as necessary

● Undertake make/buy assessments aligning with technical roadmap andproject needs.

● Interface with suppliers and partners in procurement and development of newsystems.

● RF system test and bring-up, functional testing, EMC and qualification.

● Deliver RF analysis for mission and platform projects e.g. link budgetassessment, design for EMC.

SKILLS REQUIRED:

● Design of radio system architectures including SDR transceivers.

● Design of RF front end circuitry.

● Antenna selection and integration.

● Practical experience in RF hardware test and debug.

● Product development experience throughout lifecycle including handover tomanufacturing and test.

● Experience in software aspects of SDR systems such as GNU Radio, USRPand lower level digital interfaces in software or VHDL are desirable.

● Experience of communications protocol selection for robust, secure linkswould be desirable.
